Me not learning how to read was pretty difficult. I was pretty excited when I went to first grade, I told my grandma, ‘I’m going to read these chapter books, I’m going to read a lot of books, I’m just going to run around the house and just open books and start reading.’ But, unfortunately I had to work my butt off to be reading. Until I realized that Shari was the best person that (I) ever had, she made me read way better so now I’m on my goal of reading chapter books when it was my goal to do that in first grade. It feels good, she helps me a lot. Shari helps me… spelling out words so I don’t forget and it makes it more easier for me to read because now I know if I get stuck on a word I can sound it out.
