Shelby Carlson – Board Chair

Shelby’s commitment to education and literacy is deeply personal. When her daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, she experienced the barriers families face in securing adequate reading support. Inspired by the transformational impact of her daughter’s tutor, Shari Most, Shelby co-founded the Shari K. Most Foundation for Student Success to expand access to evidence-based literacy instruction in language immersion schools. Since its launch, the Foundation has introduced cutting-edge approaches like EBLI, added executive function coaching, and significantly improved reading outcomes for struggling students.

Shelby Carlson is a seasoned technology executive and the Co-Founder and COO of AdCellerant. She has helped grow the company from a startup to an industry leader by developing innovative digital marketing platforms and leading operational strategy. With over 15 years of experience scaling organizations, Shelby is widely recognized for her expertise in digital strategy, marketing technology, and organizational leadership.

Today, Shelby is honored to help expand the Foundation’s mission beyond her daughter’s school, working to bring these critical resources to students across Colorado. As a board member of ColoREADo, she remains dedicated to reshaping the state’s literacy landscape so that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
