Misty Meade
Misty is a dedicated nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting mission-driven organizations focused on children, education, and community impact. A Virginia native, Misty earned her B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech and began her career in for-profit education before choosing to step away from the corporate world to stay home with her first child.
Since then, Misty has held a variety of nonprofit leadership roles, including more than eight years with the Junior League of Denver. She has also served on multiple boards of trustees, including Allergy Safe Kids and, most recently, the International School of Denver. In addition to her governance work, Misty has chaired several capital campaigns and is deeply committed to advancing causes that create meaningful and lasting change in her community.
Misty is honored to serve on the board of Coloreado, a mission that resonates with her both personally and professionally. Following her daughter’s dyslexia diagnosis, she has spent the past six years advocating tirelessly for improved access to high-quality resources and support for children with learning differences. This journey has fueled her passion for ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn to read, build confidence, and soar in life.
In her free time, Misty loves traveling the world with her husband and two teenagers and cheering on her favorite Colorado sports teams.
