Chrissy Fedorowicz
Born and raised in Denver, CO, Chrissy was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age. Despite early intervention, the programs used were not helpful in teaching her to read. She is passionate about making sure Colorado’s students can learn to read before sixth grade, like herself. Chrissy graduated from Miami of Ohio with a BS in Psychology. She also has a MBA and MAcc from the University of Denver.
The younger of Chrissy’s two children was diagnosed with dyslexia and received private intervention from the age of 4. It was only when she was introduced to the EBLI program that she fell in love with reading. Chrissy hopes that her involvement in ColoREADo will bring more stories like her daughter’s to the youth of Colorado.
Chrissy has served on the boards of the Colorado Ballet Auxiliary and the Colorado Ballet Guild. She is the co-chair of the Cherry Hills Village Arts Commission. She has also worked on events for the Children’s Museum of Denver and the Botanical Gardens Fete.
