Anthony Perry
Dr. Anthony Perry (he, him, él) is an educational leader whose work centers on building intellectually rigorous, humane, and inclusive school communities where every student can learn to read, write, and think with confidence. He currently serves as Middle School Director at the International School of Denver, home of the Shari K. Most Institute for Student Success, where he leads academic programming, faculty development, and student culture in a multilingual context and oversees learning support services across divisions.
Prior to joining ISDenver, Anthony served as Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at The Lab School of Washington, a school serving students with language-based learning differences. There he saw daily how transformative the right instruction can be for students who struggle to read, deepening his conviction that every learner deserves teaching grounded in evidence and delivered with dignity.
Anthony is drawn to ColoREADo’s mission because he has watched too many capable students internalize failure that was never theirs to carry. He also serves as Board Chair of The Kingsbury Wellness & Learning Group and as an Advisory Board Member for the National Partnership for Educational Access, and holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and Cultural Studies from Georgetown University.
Outside of school, Anthony can be found exploring Denver with his Italian greyhound, Naya, cheering on Paris Saint-Germain, and practicing any of the five languages he speaks.
